Scope: Full Architectural Service (Mission Complète)
Area: 26 m² extension
Planning Permission: 2020
Completion: February 2021

A small timber-framed extension to a stone cottage.
The aim of the project was to create a light, highly insulated living space that strengthens the connection to the garden, within the context of an existing building with a very modest footprint of less than 50 m² of living area.

The locally sourced Douglas fir cladding requires no treatment and will naturally weather to a silvery grey over time, allowing the contemporary extension to blend seamlessly with the original granite stone structure.
